Corrections Policy

Corrections Policy

Because insurance information directly affects people’s financial decisions, we take accuracy seriously β€” and we’re upfront when we get something wrong.

Our Commitment

If we publish inaccurate, outdated, or misleading information, we will correct it as quickly as possible once it’s brought to our attention or identified through our own review process.

Types of Corrections

  • Minor corrections (typos, formatting, broken links): Fixed directly without a public note.
  • Factual corrections (incorrect premium figures, outdated policy features, wrong regulatory information): Corrected in the article, with a note added at the bottom stating what was changed and when.
  • Major corrections (information that could have materially misled a reader’s decision): Corrected promptly, clearly flagged within the article, and if necessary, accompanied by a follow-up note or article explaining the change.

How Corrections Are Logged

For factual and major corrections, we add a line at the end of the article, for example:

Correction ([Date]): This article originally stated [X]. It has been updated to reflect [Y], based on [source/reason].

How to Report an Error

Spotted something incorrect? We want to know. Please contact us with:

  1. The URL of the article
  2. The specific claim or figure you believe is incorrect
  3. A source or reference supporting the correction, if available

We review all correction requests and aim to respond within 48–72 hours.

Regular Content Reviews

Beyond reader-reported corrections, our editorial team periodically reviews older articles β€” especially those covering premiums, tax benefits, and IRDAI regulations β€” to ensure they remain accurate as rules and products change.

Thank You

We appreciate readers who take the time to flag errors. It helps us maintain the trust and accuracy that a YMYL topic like insurance demands.
